Thursday can only mean 1 thing---PT with Ms. Cindy! We figured out pretty easily that a distracted Avery is much better for PT so She watched Elmo. She is really pronating in and refusing to use the outside of her foot so we are doing alot work with that. After PT we had a party! Dee and the triplets, Rachael, Madison and Caroline, Gigi and Granny all came for lunch! We had a good time. Poor Joel and Collin were WAY out numbered! Avery was content to sit and snuggle with Granny while the other big girls alternated between going potty and fussing over the babies!

Aquarium
Kelly and I had a blast at the Georgia Aquarium! We got to pet stingrays, shark(well we tried anyway!), shrimp, and sea anemones. It was great fun!
We were also flashed by a Beluga whale! He came at the window and posed with all his male glory! The moms standing by us all gasped as they covered the eyes of their kids! It was quite funny. Actually this is the second time an animal has done this to me and Kel. We got quite a show by a monkey at the Indy Zoo!
Neither of us bought a camera---I thought that she always has hers and she thought that I would have brought mine. Oh well, this is all we have to show for our trip! Next time we will ask before assuming.

TS Fay update
Well, this crazy storm has stalled so the projected times have changed. Hopefully that is a good thing for me.
---small science lesson:
The east side of the storm is always the worst. That is because hurricanes spin counter clock-wise. All of the gulf water is going to be pushed north and west so as long as I can fly out while the storm is still east of Pensacola we should be in good shape.
Continued thoughts/prayers would be greatly appreciated!

Triplets, day 17
Avery and I went to see the triplets today. They are getting bigger and changing by the day. Their little personalities are starting to develop.

TS FAY
I'm sure most of you that read my blog know that I am flying out on Saturday to have a girls weekend with Kelly. Well I *thought* that Tropical Storm Fay would be long gone but NO she decided to take a detour and come visit us! On the map the pink dot represents where I live. The yellow dot represents the airport where I am supposed to fly out of at 3:30p.m. !!!
Those of you who have super powers please send anti-storm vibes this way! I am really looking forward to my trip! :(

Next weekend
This time next weekend, Kelly and I will be together in Atlanta! She has to go for a meeting for girlpower2cure so I am flying in for the weekend too! No kids, we get to be grown-ups! I am so excited to go to the Georgia Aquarium---I just hope Tropical Storm Fay doesn't throw a wrench in our plans! She should be well out of Georgia by then, as long as she doesn't stall.

Daddy love
Nothing sweeter than a daddy and his little girl. The bond they share is so special. To see her light up when he comes into the room and scoops her up is priceless. If only she looked at me that way! :)

Funny Cole moment
I received the following email from Cole's teacher this morning....
I meant to email you yesterday afternoon (but I was worn out and went home and straight to bed!) because he was so funny outside yesterday. He was putting dirt in a dump truck and he called me over there to see. I walked over there and said “Wow Cole, you almost have that truck full of dirt!” He said, “Yeah, I’m not finished yet. You go back and talk to Barbara(his aide) and when I’m done you can come back.” He is so funny!! "

Kindergarten
Today was the first day of school for Cole and Thad. Cole is a big boy! He was a little reluctant to leave the house but seemed ok once we got to school. I know he is going to have a blast. Mrs. McFarland, his teacher, is cute and sweet, just the way Cole likes them! He has always had an affinity towards cute brunettes!
Thad is starting at a new school today too. He transferred due to some bad politics going on at his former school. He is teaching Leadership for the 9th grade academy. I think it is going to be a fun class. The curriculum is very basic so he will have the opportunity to do some fun projects with his classes.

Newest family members
My aunt Deanna had TRIPLETS this morning at 35 weeks! 2 boys and 1 girl! Collin was 5lb 4oz, Joel was 4lb 15oz, and Claire was 4lb 12oz. Everyone is healthy and in the regular nursery. I am the future baby nurse to this trio---I think I will have my hands full!

Other pictures
Just a sweet picture--I really could eat her!
This is how Avery's hair looked after a very restless night in a "big girl Bed"! I decided not to take the pack n play and it was a HUGE mistake!
The patterned carpets and big crack between the elevator and the hallway was a bit much for Aves. She struggled walking in the hotel.
This picture speaks for itself! She was so glad to get in her bed last night. She rolled over and snuggled in and was out within seconds!

Exhausted!
Well we made it back in one piece! It was a long, emotional but very beneficial weekend. Sorry I didn't update during the trip but I am too cheap to pay for Internet access and the lobby was always so busy. I learned a lot. I learned that even though this horrible monster took dreams I once had for my little girl and crushed them, I was given a gift. God gave me this precious child for a reason. I realized by looking around that even though Avery will never go to college or have a family of her own that she bring happiness and joy to every person she come in contact with. Even the most severe girls were so affectionately loved and adored that you can't help but feel hopeful about the future.
I was very happy to finally meet Erin and Riley. Riley is as cute in person as she is in the pictures! She and Avery spent most of the day crying-- I guess the noise and crowds and lack on good naps was too much for our sweet babes. Avery was exhausted when we got back to the hotel. We all were. We even ordered room service to avoid having to get back out.
Erin and Morgan (who is a hoot! she entertained us during lunch!)
A sleepy Riley, she had just awakened to find herself surrounded by onlookers!
Avery was trying to make a clean getaway! She was so over it!
