Well we made it back in one piece! It was a long, emotional but very beneficial weekend. Sorry I didn't update during the trip but I am too cheap to pay for Internet access and the lobby was always so busy. I learned a lot. I learned that even though this horrible monster took dreams I once had for my little girl and crushed them, I was given a gift. God gave me this precious child for a reason. I realized by looking around that even though Avery will never go to college or have a family of her own that she bring happiness and joy to every person she come in contact with. Even the most severe girls were so affectionately loved and adored that you can't help but feel hopeful about the future.
I was very happy to finally meet Erin and Riley. Riley is as cute in person as she is in the pictures! She and Avery spent most of the day crying-- I guess the noise and crowds and lack on good naps was too much for our sweet babes. Avery was exhausted when we got back to the hotel. We all were. We even ordered room service to avoid having to get back out.
Erin and Morgan (who is a hoot! she entertained us during lunch!)
A sleepy Riley, she had just awakened to find herself surrounded by onlookers!
Avery was trying to make a clean getaway! She was so over it!

I love that she is trying to bust out of there!
I don't know what it is about these conferences that wears me out, but we were all tired Saturday night too. We picked up take-out and ate it in the room. The only reason I went out again was because I HAD to take advantage of tax-free weekend!
It was so good to meet you!
